These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Farmers Arcane. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the service
Farmers Arcane is a record-keeping and management tool for backyard chicken keepers and homesteaders, owned and operated by Makers Arcane LLC. It helps you track bird profiles, egg production, health records, treatments, medications, and flock management tasks.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Farmers Arcane.
3. Important — this is not veterinary advice
Farmers Arcane is a record-keeping tool, not a veterinary service.
Nothing in this app — including health logs, treatment records, medication information, withdrawal period estimates, health observations, point-of-lay estimates, integration timelines, or any other content — constitutes veterinary advice, veterinary diagnosis, or a recommendation for treatment.
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any concern about the health, illness, injury, nutrition, or care of your animals. Do not delay seeking veterinary care because of something you read or recorded in this app. Estimated dates, withdrawal periods, and other health-related calculations are provided as organisational aids only and may not be accurate for your specific animals, medications, or circumstances.
If your animal is experiencing a medical emergency, contact a veterinarian immediately.
Makers Arcane LLC and Farmers Arcane are not liable for any harm to animals or people arising from reliance on information entered into, generated by, or displayed by this app.
4. Your data
You own the data you enter into Farmers Arcane. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your flock data.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Farmers Arcane for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service.
- Upload malicious code or content.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Use the service in any way that could harm us, other users, or third parties.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep Farmers Arcane available at all times, but we cannot guarantee it. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or circumstances beyond our control. We will communicate planned downtime when possible.
7. No warranties
Farmers Arcane is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Estimated dates, calculations, and guidance in the app (including but not limited to point-of-lay estimates, withdrawal periods, and integration timelines) are provided as general organisational aids only and may not be accurate for your specific situation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Makers Arcane LLC and Farmers Arcane shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of data, loss of animals, or financial loss — arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Farmers Arcane shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) US$10.
9. Intellectual property
Farmers Arcane, its design, code, branding, and original content are owned by Makers Arcane LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the service without written permission.
Your flock data — the records, notes, and information you create — belongs to you.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email to the address on your account. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Arkansas.
